The Chase Championships
In november 2000 I attended the chase championships at madison square garden in new york city. This is the season-ending event on the women's tour. Only the top 16 players are invited to participate.
I attended two quarterfinal matches (kournikova/ martinez and hingis/ tauziat — the photo links below are from these matches) and the semifinal round (hingis/ kournikova and seles/ dementieva. We also got to see the doubles final of kournikova/ hingis defeat local favorite arendt/ bollegraf. To top it off, derek jeter of the yankees was in attendance for anna's quarterfinal match.
While these photos are not quite the quality that I get outdoors, I hope you find them of interest.
